PARTNERS
COALITIONS
Asian Solidarity Collective has various sibling partners which we continue to build and grow in our relationships with them. We understand that relationship building is a constant practice and we are honored that our sibling partners trust us to work alongside them as well as to call us into doing movement building work together.
In addition, we are actively engaged in numerous community spaces and involved in various coalitions. Here are just a few of the coalitions we are part of as an Organization member.
Allies for PQ Village: A coalition working to support former residents from the Rancho Penasquito's neighborhood which had the last last affordable housing.
Asian American Leaders Table: Asian American Leaders Table, a network of local and national Asian American organizations that convened in the wake of the pandemic a year ago to address the rise in anti-Asian racism and violence.
F.I.E.R.C.E Coalition - The Filipinx Igniting Engagement for Reimagining Collective Em(POWER)ment – known as the FIERCE – Coalition is a statewide assembly of 20 FilAm community-based organizations (CBOs), nonprofits, grassroots and student groups from across California. We were formally established in summer 2020, but operated as the “Statewide Policy Steering Committee” for two years prior.
San Diego API Coalition: Our mission is to facilitate conversations with API communities and advocate for representation of voices by amplifying and cultivating leadership, acting as a hub for API organizations to collaborate and building a more inclusive and equitable San Diego
#TeamJustice is a coalition of partners who are committed to doing the work in state legislations to create meaningful changes in our criminal justice system under the equity and justice lens for the Black and Brown communities. Join us today to take these quick actions & be a part of the movement of change!
TRUST San Diego: The Transparent and Responsible Use of Surveillance Technology San Diego (TRUST SD) Coalition was originally formed to address the widespread and secretive use, installation, and acquisition of the Smart Streetlights technology that is being deployed all over San Diego County. TRUST SD is leading the call for community oversight of the use of the technology and a strong, legally enforceable ordinance to address privacy and civil liberty issues. To that end, we wrote a community-focused ordinance that will put in place community oversight and transparency essential for our Democracy. We educate community members through community forums and workshops around the county as well as city council members and other government and elected officials through our lobbying efforts. We advocate for community-led solutions to all problems we face as a city. We are 100% community-centered and community-driven.
